KAVA COFFEE CO.
Kava's old store took six seconds to load and lost half its buyers before the first scroll. We rebuilt it as a sub-second Shopify storefront designed around one metric: completed checkouts.

Kava Coffee sells single-origin Indian coffee on subscription. The product had a cult following; the store didn't deserve it. A bloated theme, forty apps, and a checkout flow with three dead ends were quietly taxing every rupee of ad spend. Our brief: rebuild the storefront so the brand's obsession with quality is felt in the first second — literally.
The store couldn't go dark. Kava ships thousands of orders a month, so the rebuild had to happen alongside live trading, keep every subscription intact, and migrate reviews, bundles, and loyalty points without breaking a single customer's flow. And it had to be fast on the phones people actually own, not the ones in benchmark charts.
We rebuilt on a lean Shopify stack: custom theme, five apps instead of forty, and product pages structured around the three questions buyers actually ask. Every template was profiled on mid-range Android devices until it loaded in under a second. Then we rewrote the checkout path — fewer steps, honest shipping copy, one-tap reorder for subscribers.
Load time dropped from 6.1s to 0.9s. Conversion rate climbed 38% in the first month, subscriptions now drive a third of revenue, and the same ad spend buys measurably more customers. The store finally works as hard as the roasters do.
